If you enjoy the dust and grit of American rodeo, don't miss Baker County's annual buckin' events!

The Baker County rodeo season kicks off in mid-June with the Hells Canyon Junior Rodeo in Halfway, a fun filled weekend for aspiring cowboys and cowgirls of all ages. The Hell's Canyon Junior Rodeo is sponsored by Hell's Canyon Riders, a non-profit organization promoting the development of youth rodeo contestants in the spirit of fair competition and good sportsmanship and is open to contestants up to age 18.

The Haines Stampede Rodeo is the place to celebrate the Fourth of July in Baker County, kicking up dust and enjoying one of the biggest and best small town rodeos in Oregon. The entire town of Haines turns out the red white and blue for the Haines Days celebrations including a cowboy breakfast, music in the park, BBQ, and Fourth of July parade and morec. And after the Rodeo capp your Independence Day celebration with fabulous fireworks.

And don't miss the annual Baker City Bronc and Bull Riding the third weekend in July at the Baker County Fairgrounds in historic Baker City. This event packs some of the best cowboys and meanest toughest stock in the sport into a two day event that'll keep you coming back year after year. Friday night is all bronc riding and Saturday is all bulls.

The Baker County rodeo season ends Labor Day weekend with the Baker County Fair and Panhandle Rodeo in Halfway. This ICA sanctioned rodeo starts on Saturday at 6 PM and continues on both Sunday at 1:30 PM and Monday at 1:30 PM. The Ranch Style Bronc Riding is a favorite event here, as well as the Mule Races that will take place during the rodeo performances.
